Today, we're embracing the incredible power of community and support! We are celebrating the inspiring women, including some well-known figures, who've found strength in unity. The SLAM Revolution is in full swing, and we're inviting you to be a part of this empowering movement. As the great Maya Angelou once said, "We all should know that diversity makes for a rich tapestry, and we must understand that all the threads of the tapestry are equal in value no matter their color." When women come together, we weave a beautiful tapestry of inspiration and empowerment. We inspire each other to reach new heights, cheering for every step of the journey.
Read MoreThe world can feel heavy right now. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, angry, upset, numb… I see you. This isn’t an easy time to be living in.
Please note that you are not alone, it’s all hard sometimes and maybe some of these words might help…
Read MoreWhat if your relationship with the gym didn’t have to be full of guilt and shame, of punishment and self-loathing? What if I told you that you could have a happy, healthy relationship with exercise and in time yourself? Would you believe me?
I wouldn’t blame you if you didn’t but It is in fact true! And this week I want to shine some light on exactly how you can start to love the gym!
Read MoreLadies remind yourself daily that lighting another woman’s fire doesn’t distinguish your own - in fact it will most definitely help it burn brighter. That’s a world I am so here for, and I hope you are too.
Read MoreYou may have seen Gwyneth Paltrows recent interview where she shares her “wellness” hacks. True to form we are not here to take another woman down, what works for Gwyneth works for Gwyneth but what we are here for is to empower, educate and support women to live their best lives.
Read MoreNobody really talks about the psychological impact of becoming a parent for the first time. We talk about the body changes, we plan births, we have an expectation of what maternity leave will be (walks, coffees, play dates) and actually, when the expectation and reality don’t quite meet, we’re often found questioning ourselves – are we good enough, are we somehow failing, is everyone else doing better at this than me?
Read MoreBecause, the toxicity of diet culture tells us that it’s wrong to get bigger, no matter what the cost. It teaches us from an incredibly young age to be consumed with being small. So we begin to believe that our worth is determined by how we look, but when we don’t fit that mould, what happens?
Read MoreI want to part of a future where the perception of our health isn’t determined by the size and shape of our body, and where our self worth isn’t fed by diet culture, where each and every person is able to show up authentically and is empowered to love and accept all sides of themselves.
On Valentines Day it's so easy to express love and gratitude to others but how often do we extend that to ourselves?
Read MoreWe’d love to invite you to take a look back at some of the highlights from SLAM this year and the epic things we have been part of - from international women’s day to encouraging you all to ditch the diet culture BS and #weartheshorts it’s been a really awesome year despite the challenges so join us for some sweet nostalgia!

Read MoreIs she really intimidating or are you intimidated?
Is she really rude or are you expecting her to people please and calling it “being nice”
Is she really taking advantage or have you been saying yes when you mean no?
Is she really copying you? Or does your internalised misogyny have you resenting her as competition?
Read MoreI feel like this year is especially bad as the fitness industry seems to now be dressing up toxic messaging with wellness buzzwords - I’m seeing lots of “intuitive dieting” and even fat loss competitions advertised as “body confidence” courses. I honestly didn’t think things could get worse but this is pretty sickening.
A diet by its very nature cannot be intuitive when it relies on restriction in order to work and when someone says they will lead you to body confidence by helping you to lose weight I would seriously encourage you to run far away from that BS. Body confidence relies on a LOT of inner work.
Read MoreLast year I started a little tradition of pulling moon and star guidance cards to share with you all and I’d love to do that again- If they speak to you then roll with it, if they don’t that’s all good too. It really doesn’t matter whether you buy into it or not, all that matters is the power of affirmation and reflection and if that can bring support to your life right now then join me as I’m jumping in with both feet!
Read MoreI have learned SO many hard lessons and I don’t think any of us could have expected that the past few years would propel us into this weird new world, it’s been a challenge all right but in and amongst the chaos, there has also been many pockets of joy.
In an effort to round up this weird and wonderful year, I’d love to invite you to reflect, manifest and practice a little gratitude for the joy and the lessons as we wade our way through the last week of a particularly sticky year.
Read MoreIt’s getting to that time of year isn’t it? Where all of the “new year, new you” BS marketing starts to come out of the woodwork and all of a sudden you find yourself pressured into signing up for some sort of extreme January workout regime and diet plan, all so that you can fit into that societally prescribed “ideal” … and then what happens? Maybe you stick to the plan for a while, and maybe you feel good for it, but sooner or later you find yourself falling “off the wagon” and so the cycle continues.
You know I want to change that narrative so here are my 2 (or 3) cents. Exercise is about so much more than weight loss and health is about so much more than how we look, that doesn’t however mean that you cannot track or acknowledge your progress, today I want to share with you 3 ways that you can measure your progress that aren’t based on how you look.
Read MoreUgh the winter is tough isn’t it? I don’t know about you but I find the dark so challenging. It’s at this time of year I always up my self care and one of the things that really supports me is sticking to a morning routine.
I really would love to get up with the light but since it’s not light till 8am that’s a bit challenging for me so here are a couple of morning tips that I find useful and supportive of my mental health at this time of year.
Read MoreThis Monday I want to chat to you about a bit of a triggering topic. You might not love hearing about this one as it requires taking a long, honest look at yourself and a toxic trait most of us might feel ashamed of. If you haven’t guessed already, what I want to talk about is envy… You know that sneaky wee green-eyed monster that appears every now and then - maybe more so these days now that we have so much more access to each other’s lives.
Read MoreI attribute this to why I am so adaptable and resilient, it’s a tool I’ve used a lot over the past few years when faced with so much uncertainty and having to pivot more times than I can count! It’s a 5 step process based around the question of What’s the worst that could happen? I hope it’s useful for you.

Why am I telling you this? Not because I want you to feel sorry for me but because as a coach and mentor for others, I recognise this as something people come to me for help with. I know that so many of you will be able to relate and I also know that social media and our perceptions of others often leave us feeling like we are the only ones who find life difficult or come up against hardships.
Read MoreI stopped, slowed way down and went right back to the most fundamental movement pattern I know - the breath. One minute a day was all I could commit to, soon that became two minutes and then three and now eventually 10 minutes of intentional breathing.
